U/12 Tynan Cup 

The Tynan Cup was presented to the League by the Tynan Family Lanesboro in memory of their son Edward (Ned) former Boro Celtic player. Ned’s brother John in Chairman of Ballyboro and has been involved with our Inter League teams for a number of years.

The Flaherty Cup was presented to the League by the Flaherty family in memory of their son and brother David. David played with the All Blacks in the Paddy Clabby Cup and also played in the League of
Ireland with Longford Town.

U/14 Brennan Cup
The Brennan cup was presented to the League by the Brennan family in memory of their son Shane. The family were involved with the League from the start with John Joe managing teams and we would not have the facilities we have today without the help of John Joe and Margeret. Shane first can to light playing in the Longford Schools League for Melview, before moving to Athlone and to play Kennedy Cup for the ADSL. Shane they moved to the DDSL to play for Home Farm. After his schoolboy days Shane played in the League of Ireland with Longford Town, Athlone Town and Monaghan United. Shane was was capped at University level for Ireland. Our sand based bottom pitch is called after Shane.

U/16 Clarke Cup

The Clarke cup was presented to the League by Mary Coyne the niece of Jimmy Clarke. Jimmy Clarke was a very talented sports man and played GAA for St Mels College and soccer for Longford Town. Jimmy also
played for Sligo Rovers and played in England for Plymouth Argyle. Jimmy was capped at Junior level by Ireland.
